A juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial who favored the defense also publicly supported Karen Read, raising questions about juror conduct as the judge declared a mistrial.
A juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial who sided with the defense also publicly cheered Karen Read's acquittal last year, according to a report. The revelation adds another layer of complexity to a case that ended in a mistrial Friday after jurors deadlocked on three counts of first-degree murder against Clancy, 36, for the deaths of her three children.
Kellie Farina, a senior center chef in Plymouth County who reportedly served on the jury, told NBC10 Boston that defense attorney Kevin Reddington strengthened his case by calling the people closest to Clancy to testify. Clancy faced charges for the January 2023 strangulation deaths of her children — Cora, Dawson and Callan, all under age 6 — at the family's home.
«[Reddington] brought all these people in — people that loved her, her family, her in-laws,» Farina said. «Even Patrick [Clancy] was very compassionate. So we appreciated the fact that [Reddington] didn't just delay [the trial] and drag it on with a bunch of more medical BS and get more to the point really of who Lindsay is and what her life was like.»
A Facebook profile belonging to Farina, which lists her job as a chef at a Plymouth County senior center, previously voiced support for Read during her retrial. Read was acquitted in June 2025 in the death of her boyfriend, Boston police Officer John O'Keefe.

In another post on June 13, 2025, she criticized the prosecution's handling of the case, writing, «The only mention of that POS Michael Proctor by Hank Brennan is he referred to him as bogeyman proctor during his closing arguments. What a freaking joke!»
Farina also told NBC10 Boston she found the Clancy prosecution to be «very, very harsh.» She described the 911 call made by Patrick Clancy as «the most horrific thing,» adding, «It's something that I will never not hear if I think about it.»
Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict, with the divide reportedly at 11-1. In an interview on «Good Morning America» on Tuesday, Reddington said he hopes the two sides can «work something out» when asked about a possible plea agreement.
«I'm willing to listen to Tim. I've known Tim for 30 years. He's a very hard-charging prosecutor,» Reddington said, referring to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz. «I hope, however, after sitting through this trial and seeing the evidence that was presented from the government as well as from the defense, that he would revisit that issue and hopefully would be able to work something out that would be acceptable to both sides.»
While Cruz hasn't indicated what he will do with Clancy's case after the mistrial, Sullivan set a status hearing for Sept. 29. Fox News Digital reached out to Farina for comment.
