Rogan has frequently criticized the far-left policies of California, which he says drove him to leave. He cited the state's approach to crime, homelessness, and business regulations as reasons for his departure, describing the situation as «madness.» He lamented that many businesses were closing and that the state showed no signs of course correction. Rogan also blasted California Governor Gavin Newsom for defending the state's policies, warning that Los Angeles could face a decline similar to that of Detroit.

According to recent data, Texas led the nation in new residents in 2023, with 56,473 new tax filers. Many are drawn by lower taxes, more job opportunities, and a higher quality of life. Rogan cautioned that those fleeing California should not bring the same policies that prompted their departure. «You're going to ruin it for you too,» he said. «Balance is important.»
