Chase Travel is expanding its The Edit program for premium cardholders, adding more than 10,000 vacation homes to it starting in January. The program previously covered over 1,500 luxury hotels and resorts. Now private accommodations can be booked through the bank's same service, and the program's benefits extend to them as well.

The vacation homes are selected in partnership with the Plum Guide platform, which evaluates each property against more than 150 criteria. Program benefits are available for Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business, and J.P. Morgan Reserve cards. A stay of at least four nights is required to receive the benefits. Guests receive a $150 credit for services and experiences during their stay, and where possible, early check-in and late check-out are offered. Cardholders also have access to the 24-hour Reserve Travel Designers concierge service.

Homes can also be booked with Freedom, Ink Business Preferred, and Sapphire Preferred cards, but without The Edit benefits, which are available only for Reserve cards. Edit credits amount to $500 for personal cards and $1,000 for business cards, plus $250 per stay. The business credit applies to prepaid bookings with a minimum of two hotel nights.

The change comes amid growing interest in travel as a way to use rewards. According to a Chase survey of 4,082 travelers conducted from August 31 to September 8, 2026, 48 percent of respondents use travel as their primary way of spending reward points, and 28 percent said rewards influence their travel decisions. At the same time, the bank reports that more than half of Chase Travel transactions are now paid with cash rather than points.

Chase Travel's overall figures are also rising: bookings through the service increased 14 percent year over year. Online cruise booking, launched last spring, is the fastest-growing segment, with triple-digit growth. Separately, 69 percent of those surveyed are interested in trips with an educational component, so-called craftcations. It should be noted that these figures and the survey were provided by the company itself and have not been verified by independent sources.
