ReFox News Plans Expanded 2026 Midterm Coverage Across TV, Digital and Audio
Fox News Media will offer expanded coverage of the 2026 midterm elections across television, digital, audio and podcasts, with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum co-anchoring election night coverage beginning at 6 p.m. ET on Nov. 3.
Fox News Media will expand its coverage of the 2026 midterm elections across television, digital, audio and podcasts, the network announced Thursday, as Democrats try to take back majorities in the House and Senate from Republicans who have controlled both chambers since the 2024 election.
Fox News Channel's Bret Baier, chief political anchor and executive editor of «Special Report», and Martha MacCallum, anchor and executive editor of «The Story», will co-anchor the network's midterm election coverage under the «Democracy 26» banner. Coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with Dana Perino, Brit Hume, Harold Ford Jr., Bill Hemmer, Sandra Smith, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, Trace Gallagher, Harris Faulkner, Kayleigh McEnany and Jessica Tarlov set to appear alongside Baier and MacCallum throughout the night.
Programming will continue into the evening and will bring the latest calls on nationwide House, Senate and gubernatorial races, along with projections on the balance of power in both chambers as predicted by the Fox News Decision Desk. Fox Business Network will simulcast coverage from 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday until 6 a.m. ET the following day, and a special early edition of «Fox & Friends First» will air at 4 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Throughout the broadcast, Fox News Channel will expand its use of augmented reality and data-driven graphics to provide real-time context as results are tabulated. The network will use enhanced visualizations to show how counties voted differently from past elections, follow the balance of power in Congress and add context to key races.
In addition to coverage from New York City, senior White House correspondents Jacqui Heinrich and Peter Doocy and White House correspondent Aishah Hasnie will contribute from Washington, D.C. More than 20 Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network correspondents will provide additional coverage throughout election night from across the country.
«Ruthless Podcast» hosts Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan, John Ashbrook and Shashank Tripathi, known as «Comfortably Smug», will air the «Ruthless Live! Midterm Election Show» from Washington. It will stream from 8 to 11 p.m. ET on Fox News Digital and Fox Nation.
In the week before the election, «Fox & Friends» co-host Steve Doocy will take his «Breakfast with Friends» segment on the road again, talking with voters at diners in swing states. He starts Oct. 26 at JC's Restaurant in Burton, Ohio, before heading to Four Corners Diner in Romeo, Michigan, on Oct. 27. Doocy will broadcast from Keys Café & Bakery in Roseville, Minnesota, on Oct. 28 and from Bubba's Cooks Country in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 29. His final stop will be Big Doug's Place in Hiram, Georgia, on Oct. 30. «Fox & Friends First» co-host Todd Piro will continue the tour on Oct. 31 from Stacks Pancake House in Scarborough, Maine. On Election Day morning, «Fox & Friends Weekend» co-hosts Charles Hurt and Griff Jenkins will close out the series at a diner.
Fox News Digital will offer a live blog and Fox News Power Rankings, which will provide real-time updates on race results as polls close. The Fox News app is launching a «Midterms 2026» tab with an interactive county-level map and an «Election HQ» feature that includes an AI chatbot answering questions about races and results using Fox News reporting. Signed-in users can also join «The Room», a live commentary feature for discussing results interactively.
Fox News Audio will provide coverage across Fox News Radio affiliates and through the Fox News App «Listen» button. Co-anchors Jared Halpern and Jessica Rosenthal will host live programming starting at 7 p.m. ET on Election Day, presenting expert political analysis and field reports from correspondents nationwide. Listeners can catch up the morning after with a one-hour Fox News Audio special at 8 a.m. ET. Before Election Day, Fox News Audio will offer midterm and gubernatorial race updates every 15 minutes on «Fox News Headlines 24/7» on SiriusXM, and «The Fox News Rundown» will present a five-part series from Oct. 26 to 30 profiling high-stakes states. Fox News Podcasts will release special episodes of «Perino on Politics», «The Bret Baier Podcast» and «The Untold Story with Martha MacCallum», along with a «Democracy '26» landing page on Fox News Audio's platforms.
